Vicky_CO
I normally do not have a problem with sticky stuff on my wicks but as for the mold if you heat the bottom of your mold up it will wipe off pretty easy.
topofmurrayhill
You'll have to cover part of the wick with something if it's a problem.Maybe good to keep in mind that not all metal tapes are made equal. You'll noticed differences in the thickness of the tape and the type of adhesive it uses. You'll be happier with some than others.
CareBear
oh I figured they were all the same - this was some stuff I got off the facilities guy here at work. Guess I'll have to go shopping!
Sally
I've not had that problem with the metal tape , sometimes it can be a bugger to remove....especially if my finger nails are too short & occasionally the wick feels a little sticky but usually that's when I've poured a bit hotter than I normally do so I guess that's what causes that.Good luck finding something better it's so much easier to use than the putty stuff.Sally. candlesprite7
Wrap your wick in a small square of tinfoil before you apply the tape and that will keep your wicks from looks grimy.HTHkim
