flcandles
I have an order for a gel candle with fruit embeds...... well i never got around to ordering wax fruit embeds and i need to make apple slices. Im going to try to make some apples slices from a candy mold but the mold is moons :undecided im going to try to impersonate the moons for apple slices (hopefully) Its the best i could come up with. I know its ghetto but i dont have any choice. Acmoore's doesn't have any fruit molds whatsoever! My question is how do i get the color for apple slices? I was thinking a tiny little bit of brown:confused: Anyone with any ideas please respondThankyou
Wick'n'Wax
I used moss green with quite a bit of yellow put in a bit at a time, hth at one point, I use a small jar lid, cut out circles with it, halved them and sliced a bit of the middle to make slice shapes lol

Sharon in KY
If your talking baked apples then some brown or ivory with a tiny bit of pink, I use a little apple pie color. And I sprinkle the molds with cinnamon before I pour. HTH
Laura
if using liquid dyes, try a toothpick swirl of ivory
silkysoycreations
1 drop of ivory per 1/2 lb. of wax...could go lighter or darker. You could also find a circle mold and cut it in 1/2 to make your slices too.
flcandles
Thank you everyone for your replies... i dont have ivory but do have brown. Ill try just a tad bit of brown. Im going to give the moon molds a try first to see how they look.. if they look lousy then i will try the other way with the circle then cut it in half. Thanks again everyone:)
