jennhalcyon
I want to make a layered container with the Glass Glow, and was wondering if anyone had any tips on doing this...how long is long enough to set up before pouring the next layer, how much hotter to pour my second and third layers, etc. I've done it plenty with my parasoy but the Glass Glow is just so different, and I would just hate to screw it up royally and not be able to just melt it and repour because of the layers.TIA!!Jenn
grama
I made one doing the 2 layers and you have to wait for it to pretty much get very cool or they will bleed. Of course mine was a chocolate bottom and coconut top so with the colors, the chocolate had to be hard so the hot from the coconut would not bleed through and melt. I heated my top layer to the same temp as usual. The first one I did the bottom was not cool enough and they mixed. Smelled very good though!! Know this does not answer your question very good but the best I can tell ya:)
Stella1952
I'd suggest waiting until you have a hard layer across the top - about 1/8". I would probably pour at the same temp. To give yourself some "fudge room" just in case the whole thing bombs, try making each layer successively darker than the one before. That way if it all goes to hell in a handbasket, you can melt it down and have a nice medium shade candle.
kimmeroo
I don't know if this would work w/palm..I used to make gel layered candles and they would bleed too,so I poured a very light layer of straight paraffin...that worked! Just thought I'd share! Good luck! kimmeroo
