ShoogieScents
I have read some reviews of Aspirin mask for Acne and wondered if you could put Aspirin into a recipe to make an Acne Soap? Kind of silly questions, I know, but part of me thinks it COULD work Thanks,
sudsnwicks
You mean like taking an aspirin tablet and grinding it to a powder, then adding it to your soap mixture? I've no idea how that would turn out but it's an interesting idea.
Angel91805
Good question. I've ground up some to use in my toner....but never thought to use it in soap. I'm interested to see if anyone knows for sure.Donna
CareBear
Well, hmmm. Aspirin is really acetylsalicylic acid which will probably be dramatically affected by the addition of a strong base (lye = sodium hydroxide). So I'm betting there will be a radical change which I imagine will impact it's effectiveness.
Late Night
I think the effect of aspirin on acne is in a leave on product. Hence the mask. I'm thinking in soap it would just be washed off. Plus, you'd probably have to use a lot of it to work. Then again, you won't know until you try...and report back here!
lindsaycb
Maybe HP it...OR put it in a cream soap?
lisajo
I made shampoo soap and dissolved the aspirin in the water solution for my son's itchy scalp. We haven't tested it yet but there were no unusual circumstances CP'ing it.
