LynnS
Got a e-mail from someone who wanted to know what delivery was to Canada. Came from the E-bay site. I sell nothing on E-bay. Might have set up a account but never used it and want to try to understand this. Is this possible with nothing I sell on E-Bay. I do have a website though? Should I beware. ah-soy
Lynn, Those nasty phishers are very good at making it look like it's through eBay. Did they ask you to click on any links inside the email? If so DON'T DO IT...then they've gotcha! You've already opened it...send it directly to spoof@ebay.com
cindym
Yes be aware. I don't even open emails from ebay. It is a sure fire way to get you paypal account wiped out.
sudsnwicks
I've gotten similar emails too (including ones where they say they never received their order). I just forwarded it spoof@ebay.com since I don't even have an ebay account.
lindanelson
I get these emails all the time. I have several email address'. They send it to all of them. I only have one email with e-bay. Messages that E-bay sends will always be in "my messages" on E-bay.Never open emails and never click on a link in emails that you don't know for sure where they came from. LynnS
I agree with not opening some e-mails. About 6 months ago my husand put a block on the junk mail, spam etc. It never reaches my e-mails but goes to Norton Anitvirus. I used to get 100 e-mails a day. Nothing but advertising and numerous other junk. Now it goes to that file and I never see it hit my screen. I do go to that and delete all at once when needed. This by-passed that. Before husband did this I used to spend forever deleting.I knew it was a scam or junk and deleted immediately. When I looked at the heading WOW does it look just like E-bays. Bold, big and colorful. These scam people can be so sneaky.Thank YouLynnS
Late Night
Lynn, I get those from Ebay too and I have never had an Ebay account! Forward it to Spoof. All they want is more of your information. If Ebay or PayPal has an issue with you they will contact you through your account on their site. They sure look real though.
BLSoaps
While I love spam filters, I also have days that I hate them as well. I'll have friends and customers email me with no problems, then all of a sudden, their mail will start going to my junk folder. I luckily check it and clear it about once a day. It keeps the bulk down, but also guarantees that e-mails I was supposed to actually get don't get dumped accidentally. Just a little FYI tip. Spam filters are far from perfect. They don't catch all the spam, and some things that aren't spam are accidentally viewed as such.
LynnS
Thank You All.I deleted/trashed it. I will be watching more careful. Now I feel anything from e-bay is not kosher since I don't have anything on that site and never buy anything on E-bay.LynnS
