atropa
I've used lavender and it masks it pretty well, but not everyone likes lavender. I have the West African shea that has "the odor" and people sometimes turn their noses up at it. Does anyone know of anither EO I could try? I can't afford to waste it experimenting. Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched the forum and the internet.
Sara
Patchouli does great in unrefined shea. There are FOs out there that I like too but you said EO.
SheilaW
Here is a combo that for some reason my sis loves in her shea.Equal parts lavender, lemon or orange and peppermint with just a hint of tea tree oil. I make this as a foot balm for her and would NOT recommend it for the face because of the peppermint and citrus. I have noticed that with eo's it doesn't take nearly as much scent to mask that yuk smell of shea so start out light and you would be surprized at the combos that actually smell good.
