crafter
I just wanted to drop a line and say hello. I am very new to candle making. I wanted to just make tarts and votives, but a friend talked me into doing soy containers. I haven't had a chance to play much, but I am getting there. But I do have a few questions. First, I was reading about tarts and some of you are mixing soy and paraffin, does that help with the scent throw? I have 4625 pillar wax from BCN and soy wax from MC, can I really mix those two, and do you do like a 50/50 or 75/25, 25 being the soy. And you really do 1.5 oz of F/O for tarts and it doesn't burst into flames. lol Boy do I have a lot to learn. Thanks Christi
wildangel112
Hi Christi and welcome to the boards. I can't help with the soy/paraffin mix as I use EcoSoya PB for my tarts, but I do use 1.5oz. of FO pp safely with no flames. HTH and good luck to you!!!
