aroma beads vs cardboard

Recommended Posts

In my testing I didn't think the cardboard lasted as long. I sell a ton of ornies. They are fun to make and look good even when the scent has faded.

Ever seen a car with 12 dead cardboard pine trees hanging from the rearview mirror? What is up with that?

I really need to try those ornies!! We use the organza bags now...great for women, but my son's just don't see those hanging in their vehicle...lol This season, we are going to do some cardboard ones in masculine scents and see how they go but next year I really would like to play around with the ornies.

BTW - how did they ever get the name "ornies"

I believe Doneen at Bittercreek just named them that when she invented them as short for ornament

Jane, you have to try the ornies. If you have some aroma beads scented & colored already, it just takes a metal cookie cutter, a nail, an old cookie sheet, your oven and about 4-5 minutes. You'll LOVE them! I do make the bags, but mostly in the leather scent for men, my DH loves it, he just puts it under his seat.

A nail? I also used a plastic cookie cutter..

is there something I should not be doing?

Use a nail with a good size head to make your hole as you bake it. (place in the beads where you want the hole, standing on its head.) I haven't tried a plastic cutter because of the fear it will melt. Just goes to show you how everyone has their different techniques!
