AkainePSP
I made this lotion and it turned out great except for one thing.......it has tiny air bubbles all through it. Is there anyway to get rid of these? Thanks,Kelly
sudsnwicks
With the lid on securely, bang the bottle on the countertop. You will have to do this repeatedly to get rid of the extra air, and then you will have more space at the top to add extra lotion.
BLSoaps
Suds gave you good advice for getting the air bubbles out of this batch. Here are some suggestions for preventing it from happening with future batches. I'm sure you realize it's your stick blender mixing the air in. Some stick blenders naturally will whip more air in than others. But if you always keep the sitck blender fully immersed in your lotion (don't pull it up towards the top very much), you'll significantly cut down on the air. Also, you never want it to create a vortex (the tornado like tunnel down the middle). If this happens, you're whipping air in. Hope this helps! Air bubbles are definitely a PITA! elegantnaturals
This happened to me as well. I managed to fill three bottles, banged them against the countertop, and let them sit overnight. The next day each had a space at the top for a "fill up". Good luck!
AkainePSP
Thanks everyone for the advice. I have been banging the container off and on for a couple of hours now and it really does seem to be helping. I hate air bubbles, but live and learn I suppose!Kelly
