lolascandles
I am using Bluegrass soy in a 16oz elevation jar. The fragrance is Cranberry Punch from Blue Grass Soy. I tried to use 2 HTP wicks but that did not work. I tried two LX20 and I am still getting alot of smoking and soot on the jar. I used 7% on the fragrance and no color or additives. What is the smoking a sign of? Any suggestions for wick(s) that will not smoke? Thanks, Lola
Henryk
Don't use the wax, FO, container, or soy, but smoking wicks can be from them not being trimmed, being too large a size, or having too much FO in the wax. I use LX wicks and haven't had them visibly soot in soy so I don't think its the wick type.
lolascandles
Thanks...maybe the wick got to long when it was burning. I usually burn if for 4-6 hours.
ChrisR
In that size jar I used (2) LX16's or LX18's in 100% soy with no problems, depending on the scent. Your wick may be a bit too big, so wick down and try it!!
