latch
just when you think you have all your wick problems solved... i am so frustrated... about to give it up for a while, i enjoy making candles but this wick perfection thing is enough to make me sell everything... is there a wick that burns a little cooler than an htp 31?? i double wick one of my containers with 2 31 htp and does wonderfully, yet there are some scents that 2 31 burn too fast... i dont have any smaller htps, what is my next wick choice, i have lx, cd and c... any suggestions would be appreciated.latch

AngelaVA
I think I remember reading that LX burns cooler than HTP, but I could be wrong. I know that zinc wicks are supposed to be the coolest burning wicks, so that might be an option too. HTH
Georgia
I think you would have to go to a smaller zinc....
Terrie
Take a look at this wick chart. It gives the burn rates of lots of wicks! HTH
Kaybee23
I too have been using double HTP31 in one of my jars. I tried many zinc wicks as well and could not get a zinc to burn well doubled in the jar. The jar being the 8 oz sq. mason. I understand about not wanting to single wick. I hate the smoking and mushrooms I get with the big wicks.
