wildangel112
Congrats, on your first batch and welcome to the wonderfully addictive world of soaping:highfive:
Sherri in Canada
I have to admit it WAS fun.....messy but fun lol.I poured way too much soap in my mold and ended up with huge blocks of soap. I weighed one for fun and it was over 7.5 oz. Are you only suppose to half fill the kelsei molds? I cut them in half and now they look to small but they fit in the kangaroo blue soap boxes with a little room to spare. :undecided
diamondk
How big was your batch of soap? You might be happy with doing a 2# batch in that mold. HTH
Sherri in Canada
It was a 3lb recipe so no doubt too much for that mold....thanks for pointing that out
diamondk
If you do a 2# batch it should be 1 inch in depth and a 2.5 # batch should give you a 1.25 or a little less in depth. Glad you are having fun.
Sherie
I use a 2 1/2# batch for my 9 bar Kelsei and my bars are 5 to 5.5 oz.
Sherri in Canada
How do I alter the recipe I have to make it smaller?
diamondk
When I want to make my batches smaller I go into MMS lye calculator put the recipe in and then reduce to the size that I want.
