silverm00n
Anyone use this melter? Is it decent? http://greenleafcandlesupply.com/images/8_lb_wax_melter.jpg
Corence
It is just a presto pot with a spigot on it. I couldn't live without my presto pots. HTH
silverm00n
Do you know if there are temp controls on it? Never used a presto, thinks it's about time

fredron
If you can find one, get a Daizey deep fryer/crock pot. There is an 8 quart model that has a really great control. I have both Daizey & Presto. The Daizey is better. You can sometimes find them on E-bay. I stole my first one from the DW. (Never liked crock pot cooking anyway)You'll have to add the spigot yourself, but it's worth it.Fredron
grandmaskitchen
I have 3 of the presto pots with the spigots. They do have a temperature control on them, but you will want to use a thermometer to watch the temperature of the wax while it is melting. I use a regular candy thermometer that I bought at our local grocery store.
silverm00n
Thanks everyone. I use my crock pot, if I leave it on warm the wax stays at about 150, so I threw my soy in there and like it better than melting the old way. Only I wanted the spigot thingy, and the greenleaf one seems reasonably priced. Couldn't find one at my local stores, oh well. :smiley2:
