where do i start?

peace ya'll

i LURVE looking in this area of candletech (especially the gallery). all of the soaps look soo pretty and fun to make! i really like the cold process soaps ( the big chunky ones with the swirls in them)...if i wanted to start learning how to make them, where would i start looking for information at? are there any good books you could recommend? i'm particularly interested in making them from scratch..is it super hard to get started? somebody please help me

There is a lot of info on this site, along with a tutorial on cp soap making. Most everyone here would also recommend this site http://www.millersoap.com/ as a good place to get info. You can probably get as much/better info on the net as you will in a book and here it's free!! Good luck, and just be aware that soaping can quickly become an addiction

I agree millers is the best. I read and read on cp soap for several months before I started and now I'm totally addicted. I want to make it all the time, but how would I use it all LOL.

I bought some books but really the best place to learn is on the net. Those books are just sitting there on my bookshelf now and they made CP seem a lot harder than it is.
