mustang67
Okay I am going to try it. Does anyone add stuff to the wax like fragrance or I don't know lol. Or do you just use straignt bees wax? Thanks!
hotmama
I have made straight beeswax candles before and the wax I used had a pretty strong natural honey aroma. I found that when I added fo the natural fragrance of the bees wax interfered with the smell of the fo. I just use a small amount of bees wax in my soy candles now.People who like straight bees wax candles tend to like them natural BECAUSE of the smell of honey. I found they didn't want fo added. Good luck!mama
Henryk
What hotmama said ... however, if you want to add FO, the bakery-type ones which compliment the natural fragrance would be the way to go I think. Personally I would never add FO to BW myself - JMO. As for additives - don't add any - none needed.
realmarcha
If you want to add fragrance (all types) to beeswax, use the white beeswax. It has very little natural honey fragrance and does not interfere with most fragrances. I use the Candlewic white beeswax. HTH
Henryk
Hey Marsha - how are you ? Good advise on the candlewic white - you gotta admit though - even that, if you smell it - no doubt that is not paraffin!
