Darwin
The only place I could find lids to fit 3'' mouth only seem to sell them with the jars. here is the link:http://shop.candlesandsupplies.com/candles/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=Candles&category%5Fname=Ball%2FMason+Jars&product%5Fid=MJ%2D8I would call them or email them and see if it is possible to buy just the lids. LynnS
I buy my lids for the 8 ounce JJ at BCS.Thank goodness because I do not like the 2 piece lids.Someone asked me "Why"at a sale and I mentioned I think they are a hassle. She wondered why those candles were marked down. LynnS
OOPPPS I buy my 8 ounce lids at BCN.I get mixed up.I buy scents from both companies but the lids and a few other things I get at BCN. I like the warning labels at BCS as I do not have to use the glue gun.LynnS
gerrie
I had some jars that needed a dust cover and what worked best for me was to go get some acetate paper and cut (using a circular cutting tool) a circle the size that fit into the jar, then I punched a hole in the middle of the circle for the wick to stick through. I bent the wick over and that held the acetate cover in place. It's not air tight, but if you cut your circle the right size it really does hold the scent in and protects the candle. I got my acetate sheets at Staples, but I believe you can get sheets of acetate at an art supply store for less money. HTH
