partyowl7478@yahoo.com
I have been using 1 oz of FO per lb of was. They smell great. But, I was wondering what most of you use.
Juggy
I use 1oz/lb so far but I haven't testing all of my fo yet.
Candlebuddy
I make my candles at approx. 8% - that's around 1.25 oz per pound.
Steph in tx
Most fragrances I use 1oz. Some such as Mountain Lake, have to cut back on...it's too loud!! Vanilla's about 3/4 oz. Just depends on the fragrance....

partyowl7478@yahoo.com
Can you tell when you add the FO or do you need to wait until you burn them?
Steph in tx
I personal view is to wait & burn.
jillgunter
I usually go with 1 oz per pound of wax. I tried 1 1/2 oz recently, but made it hard to wick so I am going back down. I get great hot throw with 1 oz.
Candlebuddy
To evaluate the hot scent throw, you will need to burn the candle. If your hot throw is weak, make another tester with more fo added. However, check to see what the highest percentage of fo your wax can hold ... you don't want to exceed that percentage. Scented
Can you tell when you add the FO or do you need to wait until you burn them?I add the FO at about 175 degrees, just before I color the wax.
SpaceGirl
I generally hover somewhere around 7% -- I add 1 oz FO to 14 oz of wax, so a little more than 1oz/pp -- that seems to work pretty well and it makes my numbers easy . I haven't really had wicking problems from too much FO. I do have one scent that is just subtle and I'm not willing to add any more FO to it (I'm also not going to reorder it once it's all gone!)SG
debscent
I generally do 1 ounce per lb., but some like Peaks Lilac for Daystar's Blackberry Jam Cookies get cut back to .5 or .75 ounce per lb. Depends on the oil.
