ignitethesenses
Is this expected to happen? I made an emulsifying scrub and over the last week or so the oil has been separating out of it. The recipe already has 10% ewax and 8% stearic (the rest oils (mostly), butters). Any suggestions on stopping this from happening?
SheilaW
I had the same problem and I really hated the way the oil would float on top ( FL heat ) Now I use hard butters like cocoa and sal with a much smaller ratio of soft oils/butters. When my scrub cools it's very solid and stays solid even in this heat.
ignitethesenses
Thanks I had considered replacing the soft shea and some of the oil with more cocoa or kokum butter. I just might try that next time
