MoonShadow
I am working on a fundraiser for Big Cat Rescue and need to find the perfect FO!Big Cat Rescue, a non profit educational sanctuary, is devoted to rescuing and providing a permanent home for exotic (i.e. wild, not domestic) cats who have been abused, abandoned, bred to be pets, retired from performing acts, or saved from being slaughtered for fur coats, and to educating the public about these animals and the issues facing them in captivity and in the wild. The sanctuary houses the most diverse population of exotic cats in the world, with 16 of the 35 species of wild cat represented among the approximately 150 residents. These include tigers, lions, leopards, cougars, bobcats, lynx, ocelots, servals, caracals and others, many of whom are threatened, endangered, or now extinct in the wild.Fundraiser - "Light a Candle for a Cat." The cost of the candle includes an adoption kit. They can "adopt" any of the 16 species of the cats at the rescue and help save these beautiful creatures. Along with the candle they receive a Certificate of Adoption with the name and a frameable 8x10 photo of the animal they choose, the personal biography of their adopted one and a color newsletter about their chosen species. What FO do you think would be perfect for these candles? Needs to throw in C3!!! Any ideas are greatly appreciated! For the cats!
cybersix
Sometime I do fundraiser for a cat shelter and I usually use any kind of FO (bakery, fruity and so on)I think doing so gives to everyone a chance to find a scent they like.I never thought there could be a particular scent for a cat shelter fundraiser.Maybe you could rename some FO with a cat-y name... as Egyptian Mau, or Rag Doll, or "Scratch my back"!Uh this is a nice idea I will use it for my next cat fundraiser!!!!! cybersix
sorry I read "cat" and was thinking only to cats. But this could go well for the exotic cats (maybe with different names LOL)
Ian H
I think a rename is the way to go. You could have a ball with the names. How about. Fat cat : Cougar comforter : Lion eyes : leopard stripes etc. etc.Ian
Accents
Maybe something you could rename to represent their natural habitat. Rain Forest, Serengeti (sp)? An earthy scent of some kind.
MoonShadow
Thanks everyone! Yes...I was thinking an earth scent or rainforest scent. Know of any good ones that throw in C3?
MoonShadow
You would think with the name of my candles, I would know a good rainforest scent... but I don't! LOLI got a sample from Candles and Supplies and hated it.

CathyinME
The Rain Forest from the Candlemaker's Store is on eof my favorites. Strong scent but can't help with the C3.
