dee263
I know I read somewhere about using jojoba spheres to color lotion bars but can't find the reference. I use hemp seed oil in my bars which tints them a greenish color. Does anyone have suggestions on how much of the jojoba spheres and/or if I'll be able to counteract the green from the hemp? Thanks :smiley2:
Ann M
I wish I knew the answer, but I also remember seeing something about melting the jojoba spheres and then using them to color the lotion bar. I remember that it took the jojoba spheres quite awhile to melt and it took alot to color them. I have tried using mica and it seems to also take a lot. I once tried a violet oxide to try and get a nice lavender color, but it ended up tinting my skin as well!!! I just gave up and go au naturel!!Ann M

MochaMama
WSP and probably others carry oil based colors for lip balms. That's what I use to color my lotion bars - lip balm color - I get mine from thesage.com. You literally only need a drop per pound of product. It has worked very well for me.
