bert23
We had to try new wax & jars due to lack of supply!. we went to igi 9798 & premium apothecary jars . the pours were nice for a month or two , now we are getting a large crack. we tried every temp to pour, heated the jars, we put them into boxes lid open, lid closed. everyone has a crack, some have a hole down the middle. we also add petro, 1 tbl. spoon per #. we pour in a cooler basement & live in PA. ?????? Thanks
candleran
Are you sure the candles are not cooling too fast?I searched for 9798 on igi site: http://www.igiwax.com/, but couldn't find it...Eran
Candle Man
I find my own wax blend has air pockets & sometimes cracks also more air bubbles in colder weather. I don't have these problems in the summer.
debscent
I recently started getting cracks, too and the candles were cooling too fast. I live in DE and have the same problems. I hate the idea of heating jars, but it seems if I do that, they don't crack.
