idacandlelady
This is probably a dumb question, but I have to ask. What kind of markup do you do on stuff you buy and resell? I know on product you make it should be 3-4 times your cost, but on things like containers, tart warmers, soap dishes, etc. Thanks for any help. ah-soy
Use the search feature at the top and enter 'pricing formula' ...it will bring up some good info!
Vicky_CO
I do just a standard retail mark up which normally is times 2 but if my market can not absorb that I try to stay in market value. Like burners I use electric most I get for around $8 plus shipping so depending where I am selling the price is $16 to $18 for a burner. I don't make soap I buy them locally and I only get 40% discount so I pay $3.60 and I can only sell them for $6 but I don't have shipping cost either. Remember to figure in shipping if you aren't buying local.
CC on Maui
In the end, whatever method you use, please be sure to check around and see what these particular items are selling for in your area.It will give you a good idea of what your local market will bear, and hopefully keep you from leaving $ on the table.
