slim
I have made plenty of tarts with no poblems. But, for the last 3 days they are leaving me puzzled. Once they are cooled some of them are wrinled in the middle. Not all do this. It has happened with diffrent colors and scents. Some turn out fine in the same batch of wax while others are wrinkled. Maybe they are cooling too fast? That is the only possible explanation I can come up with. What does anyone else think?
Fern
I've got a wax that will wrinkle on me if I use it without adding container wax to it. It's OK6228, which is a blended wax so I really can't add any additives to it since I don't know what's in there already. I've tried pouring very cool and it would still wrinkle on me, so now I add container wax to it and that solved the problem. Why your's are suddenly doing this after having had no problems previously would lead me to believe that perhaps you're pouring hotter than the other ones, or they could be setting up extra fast if you're in a cool room, which could cause that as well. Anyway, that's my guess.
CC on Maui
Don't know what wax you are using, but I will get that appearance if I use too much vybar.
dcroome2005
What wax are you using? I have a wax from Candlewic that does this. I just zap it with a heat gun at the end and it takes care of that.
slim
I'm actually useing OK6228 also. I'll try adding a little container wax to it and see if this helps. I don't add any additives to it either. Thanks for the help.
moonrose64
6228 was my 1st thought. and seeing u use it. Yup thats your problem. The 6228. I got a whole case of it by mistake and now I'm making tarts with it. I got the brains look too . Thats what I call them. I added soy with it and now its good to go. No more brains.
