idacandlelady
I printed out a chart that shows the burn/consumption rate for HTP wicks and I'm a little confused. If using a HTP 126 and needing to wick up what do you go to? The chart shows the rates for 1212 and 1312 are lower than the 126, Is this right? So if I need to go up from 126 what do I do? TIA for any help Rebecca
Meridith
Supposedly the 126's are larger than the 1212 or 1312. However, my experience has been that they are not and the 126's won't work on jars that the 1212 or 1312 will. I'd try the 1212 if you need to wick up and see how it goes. erinmfritz
Where did you find that chart? I have been testing the same wicks by just guessing. My findings are that the 126's don't burn as hot as the 1212 or 1312's. I go between the 126 & 1212 and have good luck.
idacandlelady
The chart is on the wicks unlimited site. They have the specs for all kinds of wicks. Here is the page for the HTP's,http://www.wicksunlimited.com/atkins_pearce_htp_wicks.php
jgcurtis1961
I also agree that the HTP 126's don't burn as hot as the 1212 and 1312. When I tested them in my 3" jars the 126 wouldn't cut it but the 1212 would. HTH

To DW, start with 2 HTP 73 if you can get some and adjust from there. You can also try the 2 LX 18's you have and see how it works.
