gatinha
Hello everyone, I remember seeing somewhere in here someone was sending some votives to our troops in Iraq. I was wondering if any of you know how I can do the same. Thanks.
koala-nut
I am not sure about votives since one of the no-no's is anything flammable but I sent my DH a tart burner with a supply of his favorite scent tarts that he is really enjoying. It reminds him of the smells of home.

Candle Makin Momma
My friend buys my candles to send to her dh in Iraq. They are wicked and she has no problems sending them.He loves them and so do the other guys! They say they really take care of the tents and buldings that smell like @ss! LMAO
ShelleyBean
The only candles I have sent were wicked tins, I sent the 2oz size because I had a lot left over and wasnt going to carry them. Flames are usually a no-no, but one of the people I sent them to was a Cpt and he said he would use his in his office area, but if he left, he blew it out of course. When my husband was over there, it was the beginning of it all, and they were in tents or old buildings. Now, a lot of units have real rooms, with internet access and such, so it's more like home. Our friend was over there recently and had one of these more modern rooms so we sent him wickless tins with the plate warmer.
koala-nut
Thank you Country Creek.Hmmmmm.... good to know that one can send candles. I only make the tarts though. DH is rooming with the LT so I gotta be careful on how much I bend the rules. LOL There space is not modern but at least they aren't in tents.
