Ahuff
I'm doing a batch of Amber Romance as a gift for a friend, and I am clueless on what color to use. I am thinking a deep merlot - red with purple? Of course I am out of purple and blue dye right now. Any other color ideas? TIAAlex
grama
I color my amber romance with honey/vanilla. Don't remember how I came up with that color - maybe amber is sorta that color? hth
Hillary
Yeah, amber is kind of golden brownish. Google amber and you'll get pic.s to see the color of it. (I've also gotten into the kids crayons a few times to look for good color ideas. The names are on 'em!)
Candle Man
This is the color Victoria's Secret uses for their Amber Romance.
Ahuff
Thanks everyone. I'm doing a tester in the honey/ivory and will do another one in a reddish amber when my dye arrives.Alex

So I make my dupes as close to the original color as possible.

Steph in tx
I make my Amber Romance, Pink. That's just the color that hit me when I made it up. That's whats good about making candles ourselves, you can color it what ever tickles your fancy. JMHO
Freezin
I have always made my Amber Romance light purple. It just seemed to fit. I made my love spell a blue purple mix.
IndyGirl
I have tried 2 samples from C&S and IFT for Amber Romance and they both are just not it! I personally wear the fragrance and so does my daughter and there is some strange undertone to the fragrance that does not smell right. Has anyone who know exactly what it smells like found a perfect dup?
Fern
I remember when Love Spell first came out and a question was posted as to what color everyone was making theirs. I said light purple and a lot of people thought it was odd that I chose that color. This really surprised me because I just assumed everyone knew what color Victoria's Secret colored their products...I guess not.:undecided When in doubt, look the product up...if you don't care and you're not selling to the public...let your imagination take over and color it whatever your little heart desires. Candlebuddy
I think the word "Amber" would be a good indication as to the color. Oh well, to each their own. :rolleyes2
grama
I get my amber romance from wssp and it smells good - don't know how close to the real thing it is but the people that buy it say it is. hth
