cybersix
Hi, I'm experimenting with mottling for the first time. After some tests (but I have other tests to do) this is the first that I like. Any opinion? Mind you, this is not a complete pillar, is just wax I'm testing, and the surface got scratched a bit because the mold was not very clean.TIA

Mozzie
Wow, Sabrina that's great! You've managed to achieve random mottling, something I've never got the hang of. Hope that you'll pass on your recipe.
cybersix
Hi Mozzie, sure I will pass the recipe, it's quite simple.Plain paraffin, stearic at 3%. Poured at about 80°C and cooled under a cardboard box.I used the cardboard box because I noticed that one side wasn' mottling at all, so I though it was not cooling uniformly.A lot depends on the wax and on the FO, you just have to play a bit. I will try with a little more of stearic. Thanks for your words!

cybersix
Thanks to all for the complimentsFor many of you mottling could be simple, but this is the first time I put my hands on a plain paraffin with no strange misterious properties!!
