How long to wait to do a test burning?

How do you go about testing different wicks without making a new container candle for each wick? TIA!

To make a test candle just pour the candle without the wick. Once it's set use a bamboo skewer or ice pick to create a tunnel. Then cut the tab off the wick and slide the wick down into the candle and test away. If you determine it's the wrong wick you can just remove it and replace it with another. HTH

The wick switching is a good way to test several different wicks without making a candle for each. Once you have selected the wick you think is best for your candle you still need to test burn the entire candle. A container candle does not burn the same at the top as it does in the bottom. Just keep in mind that your final wick choice should be based on the entire burn.
