sueb50
Need help fast if possible. I have some goats milk cp on the bench now and I have it insulated. Is that the right thing to do? I heard it can become overheated or is that just when you have honey in it too?
Funky Monkey
I do not insultate mine.. but then again, I totally flipped out a batch this weekend.

ChrisR
I never insulate mine......matter of fact I put it in the refridge to prevent gel.
sueb50
I use a keilsi (sp) mold. Do I just leave it butt naked? I took the towels off. Thanks for the quick response!
Meridith
No insulating here either. When I have insulated it, I have only gotten a partial gel.

Meridith
I use a Kelsie mold too (9 bar) and just leave it as is - no cover.
sueb50
Thanks guys! Will post pics when unmolded.
Crafty1_AJ
Yep, I leave mine uninsulated too. In fact, I just made a batch a couple days ago. Covered only with my thin wooden Upland lid to keep the dust off. No blankets or towels, and sitting in my cool basement, it gelled anyway. lol
blazerina
Wow... I've been staying up too late reading these boards... I'm so tired. I read the title of this thread to be 'insult goats milk'. But i'm not surprised, what with all the talk about hugging and cuddling candles, lol- it just came natural. Insult your goats milk soap. I need a nap. :tiptoe:
sueb50
Don't know how edit my first post and add the picture to that so I will just put it here. I don't take great pics of my soap. It turned out beige with a faint and I do mean faint swirl of green. I am just starting to try swirls. It looks good and firm. The scent is Juniper Breeze. Smells so fresh! sueb50
Good heavens! I am not used to seeing my soap on here. I sure picked some off shaped bars to show you guys! I use a Keilsi mold and I always have wavey tops. Any hints on smooth ones?
CareBear
Very lovely! Such a nice light color for a GM soap - good job!slab mold?pour at a lighter trace? let the soap harden more before you yank the dividers? pray?
