lou lou
I have been making candles for over a year now and this is the first time this has ever happened. I was making container candles and i always put my left over wax in a rubber mold so i can melt it down for a 2nd pour. Well last night i was ready to do my 2nd pour so i popped out my wax out of the mold and it had a puddle of water at the bottom of it. I used 1 oz pp j223 heated to right temp poured at right temp just like i always do, but this has never happened. At first i thought that it might be oil but it was not oily like oil, I don't know i think this is kinda stange for this to only happen with this one candle. If this has happened to any of you i would really like to know what went wrong. Thanks Loulou
Scented
Sounds like water and from time to time J223 has been known to contain water. The good thing is the water probably all set at the bottom. Water will pool at the bottom of wax.
lou lou
scented, Is it ok to use the wax or just throw it away?
Ring of Fire
You can still use it. Set it on it's side and the water should leak out. I cut it into pieces to make it easier.
tcc
I once bought a case of J223 and 2 of the slabs were full of water, apprently this is a common problem.
