Liz D.
I've made wax ornaments dipping wood shapes into wax with good success, but it is very time consuming. I'm experimenting with pouring them into cutters instead. I used some Ecosoya Pillar Blend and the wax is not hard enough. The ornaments crumble or break too easily. I'm thinking I probably have to use paraffin? Does anyone make these and have any tips or suggestions for me?Thanks!Liz D.

Candle Man
Pour wax into a cookie sheet, then when firm but not fully set-up, push cookie cutter into wax. For the hanging hole use a nail, or stiff plastic drinking straw. Let fully cool then flex cookie sheet and pop out.
Liz D.
Thanks! I will try that! I was putting the wax right into the cookie cutters and they were leaking underneath. I make my own cookie cutters, so they don't always sit flush. I was hoping to use my Ecosoya Pillar Blend, but it is far too brittle. I am going to get some of the KY wax mentioned, but before that I think I'll experiment with mixing some of the Ecosoya with some paraffin I have here. I'm thinking 50/50? Anyone do this?Liz D.
