Sherl
Got mine at Lowes as I burned up [i guess] a 'commercial grade' one. It has variable settings and I use it to level candles and shrink wrap.
jenphelps1972
In my opinion, you cant make candles without one. At least not nice looking candles. It also makes cleanup incredibly easy. I got mine at Walmart for about $21. It's been a god send.
tangerine
Consider getting an embossing gun instead -- it's lighter than a heat gun. I got mine for $12 from JoAnn's with a 40% off coupon. Been using the same one for almost two years.

slyfoxy46628
I am a newbie but I got mine at Walmart for about $22. At first I wasn't sure that I got the right thing because it had two settings-750 and 1000 degrees. Now to me, that would burn a house down right? Well I asked around here and everybody said I got the right thing and I tried it and it made taking the wick out of a jar candle and putting a new one in to test burn so easy!!
