soapbuddy
I spilled dk. red liquid candle dye on my lt. blue carpet. How can I get it out? At least most of it?Thanks!
Candle Man
First thing you do while the stain is wet is pour a heaping mound of salt onto it. The salt will soak up any liquid and some of the dye and keep it from spreading further. As far as the dye stain I'm not sure.Candle dye will dye fabric so I don't know if you will ever be able to get the stain out. You may be able to lighten it to a pink color but I don't think you will be able to remove it completly.
joym
Have had some luck with "goo gone"; also "dissolve-it". Put a small amount on white paper towel and dab at the stain. Keep moving the towel as the dye is picked up.

soapbuddy
Looks like either method picked up very little. Can I lightly bleach the carpet? Thanks!

mammapajama
Maybe try Oxyclean, make a paste and let it sit for a bit. Not too long.
racooper
but one of my customers told me that hydrogen peroxide (like you put on a cut) works wonders to get stains out of carpet. But not too sure how that would work on a blue carpet, maybe you could test it in a out-of-the-way location
