ILVCANDLES
I am confused and was hoping someone could help me out. I bought a few votive holders today. One was a ribbed votive holder and the other was a flower pot holder. On my receipt it says votive holders. I am confused because their is a sticker inside that says use w/ tealights only. I thought votives and tealights were different. I called Jo-Ann's and they advised that tealights were votives???Please help me!:undecided
SilverOrchid
Tealights to me are those little ones in the metal or plastic containers that only burn a few hours, Votives are small candles.. I think someone got their candles mixed up at Joannes lol
Georgia
I've seen the terms used interchangably. Votive candles are actually a ritual candle for prayer and wishes and are not neccessarily what we think of as votives. Votives can be tea lights. What your warning label means is don't try and stick a pillar in there. (Hey, someone probably tried it!)
