Terra Cotta

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the replies..Just to confirm as long as I mod podge the inside a few times over the paint this will not be a fire hazzard?

Thanks!

The paint alone would not be a fire hazzard because it is dry. Some paints are a fire hazzard only in their liquid state.

Candle Man that makes sense. Thank you! I am curious when burning a candle in a terra cotta pot, will the paint/mod podge produce a chemical smell when the wax becomes a liquid? Thanks!:smiley2:

I've never had a problem. The wax is cooler than the flame so that would not effect the sealer. Now if the flame got to close for to long then that might cause a problem.
