Scented Posted August 27, 2006 Share Posted August 27, 2006 There's a rustic mottle technique, combination of rustic and mottling. Good luck getting it with soy. Don't believe it's possible. Doneen Posted August 27, 2006 Share Posted August 27, 2006 You can get a mottled & rustic look with straight pillar paraffin waxes like IGI 1343 or IGI 1239 and about 3 tbsp stearic acid. One way is to pour at a cooler temp than you normally would pour pillars, say around 150-160. If you want even more of a rustic look, try putting your molds in the freezer and get them super cold first, then pour into them.
