Funky Monkey
I realize it isn't much to sneeze at... BUT.. It is my first cp soap!! I poured it a bit to thick so it was full of holes at the edges so I cut it down to look pretty. I'm so proud
CareBear
how'd you get the pretty scalloped edges?!?did you test for lye zap? (rub your finger across the soap and then put on the tip of your tongue - you'll know if it zaps!). If no zap then give it a try with a scrap!!! Then let the rest cure for a few weeks...Ultra cool!!! Funky Monkey
Thanks guys! I'm so very proud of them!! I made the scalloped edges with an old biscuit cutter - believe it or not. I didn't like the edges with the air holes, so I thought I would make them decorative. And yes, I'm ready for my next batch... Gonna go see what oils I have hanging around in the kitchen. I'd love to do a goats milk one.. but I can't quite figure that one out. Not sure when to put in the milk etc. Will have to work on that one.
