creativecandles
I ordered these jars about a month ago, was told they were going to be a regular stocked item, just finished all my testing to find they are now on the closeout page!!! I am really mad right now!!!http://secure.candlesupply.com/catalog_page_detail.cfm?queries_index=index7&title_bar=22oz%20Straight%20Walled%20Jar%20w%2FLid&recordno=5&Product_CatalogID=2757&ProductCodeID=77&ProductSubCodeID=308&NewProduct=0If not, any suggestions on an alternate jar would be greatly appreciated! Candle Man
I haven't found a tumbler with a metal lid. Here is a Cylinder Jar that might work if you can find a lid. http://www.tayloredconcepts.com/Specialty%20Glassware.htm scroll to Cylinder JarETA - Here is a pic of the 22oz jar from BCN, for those that could not get the link to work.Looks like a straight sided vase. Tumblers I have seen and use have thick heavy bottoms and the lid looks like it has a plastic fitment in it.Here is a source for metal lids, if you cant find a jar with the lids http://www.penn-wheeling.com/capplug.html
creativecandles
you can find a jar and lid like that at sksHi thanks for the rec, I checked it out and found some with screw on lids, is that what you were referring to? Wasn't sure if I found the right style. These jars from BCN have an apothecary type lid, I guess they are similar to a metro type jar. Really nice jars. Great price, too. LynnS
I do a straight sided jar but only 12 ounce and does not look like that with the lid.It sorta seems to be slightly round at top.I got mine at The Candlemaker Store.I am not sure if bigger sizes.Yes that was a good price for that size jar.The jars I am talking about have the screw on lid.LynnS

NotJustFragrances
That actual looking jar I believe is made by Anchor Hocking, I think BCN did or does buy from themAs more suppliers find out that Anchor Hocking has filed for bankruptcy (sp?) they will probably deal less of their products until all is settled and see what happens. Last know was that a wealthy gentlemen or two were negotiating the purchase of Anchor Hocking. But other than that haven't been told anymore.
