botanica
Ok, so I've tried eco, rrd, cd...what would be best next? LX? HTP? Do you know which one can handle a heavier fo? I'm so sad about it because two of these naughty fo's are my Christmas scents! (Or should I say Holiday scents?)
mrchips
I'm surprised that the CD isn't working, I've had good results with those. I'd try HTP next, rather that LX.
botanica
I'm going to continue to give cd's a try. I can still go upwards in size. If nothing else, maybe I could triple wick??
topofmurrayhill
Just a shot in the dark here, but it could be worth giving CDNs a try to see if they perform any differently for you -- especially if you have wicks drowning out a lot. botanica
I haven't heard of CDN's. Please enlighten me. (:
Jordan
The CDN's are for natural waxes. They are the same wick but coated with soy, I believe. This is what I use.
topofmurrayhill
I haven't heard of CDN's. Please enlighten me. (:All wicks have a chemical treatment of some kind, or they would just disintegrate too fast when you light them. Different chemical treatments can be good for different applications. CDN is a CD wick with a chemical treatment that can work better with acidic waxes or high levels of certain FOs and dyes.It can be kind of hard to predict under what circumstances you'll see a difference. When it helps, it can improve wick performance and help with wicks drowning out, so sometimes it's worth a try. These wicks are designed with palm and stearic acid candles in mind, or paraffin blends with a lot of palm or stearic, but some people find them helpful in soy.
