This one was scented Tangerine Dream from Alabaster it smells divine makes me hungry for a pushup pop. My color is more pinky red than orange. I tried to swirl it but it didn't make it all the way down.

Hey honey, wanted to give you some pointers on your swirls.

I'm sure you know most of this, but I'll try to explain the "BunBun" crazy way... lol

Ok, you have two different types of swirls, an in the mold swirl (which is what you had) and an in the pot swirl.

When using SLAB molds, you can make the beautiful in the mold swirls. You're going for pretty tops, and trying to get the swirl to the bottom of the soap.

When using LOG molds, the best method is the in the pot swirl. Here's why:

In the mold swirls are meant to swirl the whole face of the bar (the part you see once you cut) and not just the top to be pretty. Most slab swirls look beautiful from the top, but the swirl you get underneath the top isn't really normally swirled, it's straighter lines and not the wisps and stuff.

Ok, let me try to explain another way. When you sell a slab mold soap, you want to present the top of the bar as "your bling". When you sell a log mold soap, you want the face of the bar as "your bling".

Robin's tutorial has pics of how to create an in the pot swirl.

Am I makin any sense?
