billyne
Hi--My name is Billyne. I've love this message board! ( I'm a lurker:cool2: ). I just had a quick question for ya'll. Which is easier for you when you are making a large amount of candles--do you apply your labels before you pour or after? Thanks!
Candle Man
I apply my labels after because...You could drip wax down the outside of the jar and, if a label was on there, you just wasted a label.Sometimes wicks pull out of metal tabs and you have to pour wax out and clean jar to re-pour.I wipe the outside of my jars before appling labels, so I know the labels stick. Accents
I apply mine after too! For all the reasons above, plus have to use my heat gun sometimes and not sure how the label would react.
Daisyd'Light
Speaking of labels, how many do you use? I have one on te lid with my name, etc and one on the jar for the scent and of course a caution on the bottom. (8 oz square)

boggled
I guess i am the only one applying them before I pour.I have been lucky, not a problem yet, as far as losing a label due to spillage, or heat gunning. On a side note my labels are small, so this might have something to do with it.

redjello2000
After. I always manage somehow to drip some down the side! I am a klutz! Beverly S
