labels

Recommended Posts

Hi--

My name is Billyne. I've love this message board! ( I'm a lurker:cool2: ). I just had a quick question for ya'll. Which is easier for you when you are making a large amount of candles--do you apply your labels before you pour or after?

Thanks!

I apply my labels after because...

  1. You could drip wax down the outside of the jar and, if a label was on there, you just wasted a label.
  2. Sometimes wicks pull out of metal tabs and you have to pour wax out and clean jar to re-pour.
  3. I wipe the outside of my jars before appling labels, so I know the labels stick.

 I guess i am the only one applying them before I pour.

I have been lucky, not a problem yet, as far as losing a label due to spillage, or heat gunning. On a side note my labels are small, so this might have something to do with it. :cheesy2:
