MasterBaker2
Anyone have a wicking suggestion for these. I'm using Astor 4212 and the 1/0 square braid isn't making the grade.
Jcandleattic
I don't use that wax, but on my 4x6 pillars I usually use a 36 flat ply. HTH
Candle Man
I have yet to find a single wick to get a complete burn like the 3" pillars so I don't offer them for sale yet.I have tried zink core with no luck. All I can get is up to a 3" melt pool.
Janette
I was never able to get the 4" wicked to burn like a 3" either. It may be possible, but I gave up. Hope you have better luck.Janette
grandmaskitchen
I haven't been able to single wick a 4" pillar, either. Every wick I've tried leaves a 1 to 1.5" shell. I am about to give up on this and stick to the 3" pillars. They are much easier to wick.
wvcandleguy
I dont use that wax either but I am testing a #2 square braid on the 4" pillars with pretty good success... will keep ya posted

I use a blend of my own wax (4625/4794) though and that may be why I'm able to do that.
MasterBaker2
Thanks everyone, I'm going to try the 36ply flat braid and the #2 square braid and see how that goes. I don't feel so bad now that I know I'm not the only one having problems with these. I don't want to give up on them since I really like the beefier (sp?) candles.
