Katcameback
I used a wick pin for a 3x6 pillar I made, and then I dipped the cotton braid wick I had in some wax to make it easier to insert through the hole. What I am wondering is....how do I affix the wick to the bottom if the pillar so that it stays put?
Meredith_D
What I do is, wick the candle while it's still in the mold. (This is after filling relief holes) While the candle is still in the mold, I melt the bottom of the candle in my Presto (only warm, not hot) to level the bottom. This seals up the hole where the wick went and levels the bottom of the candle for a nice, flat surface. HTH
SheilaW
I don't typically use wick pins for pillars but seems like I have read that some people tie a knot in the wick and kind of smuch the knot into the hole or clip it off and hit it with the heat gun just enough for the wax to melt around the wick or add a tab to the wick. Trae
You could use a warning label over the wick so it doesn't move.
Janette
Use a wick tab. You crimp it on to the bottom of the wick.
Katcameback
Thanks for all the suggestions! I am off to wick them now.
