candlemakingqueen123
I was hoping someone out there can help me!I'm looking to add real cinnamon sticks and dried orange around the edge of my candle to make a nice orange spice smelling pillar candle. Can anyone tell me how to 'fix' the cinnamon and orange to the sides of my pillar mold when making so they can then be seen on the side of the candle when burning? I will of course be using a wick that leaves a shell about 1cm wide around the edge of the candle. Any advice would be appreciated! Many Thanks:p
Demenshia
I would try placing the cinnamon sticks inside the mold before you pour....as for orange slices, not too sure.
candlemakingqueen123
Great thanks- any idea on how to keep the sticks in place?
Demenshia
I would just kinda lean them up against the mold standing straight up...if that makes sense.
Georgia
You could use a hurricane mold with an insert. Either the sticks or the orange would stay in place. If you pour the shell with hurricane wax, you could then fill it just like a container candle.
