Lolas Lights
I just made a couple of pillars yesterday and took them out of the mold. They look okay but my molds have the seam, how do I get rid of the seam line on my candles??
Candlelady4ever
have you tried using a stocking? they are great for rubbing out scratches. or if the seam is thick, use a paring knife to whittle it down then use stocking to smooth out. SatinDucky
That's what I do. Hold the knife nearly flat with a very soft touch so you don't make gouges worse than the lines were. Then buff with old panty hose. I get the knee high stocking at Wal-mart, 33 cents a pair to use, since I don't wear nylons to have any old ones
Scented
I angle my knife at a 90 degree angle to the candle and take the seam off by running the edge of the knife against the wax. I do it about three times, whittling the seam down. If I don't take my time, I get the bumps or uneven lines. Then I buff it with a nylon or soft towel. Lolas Lights
Thanks all, I heard that you could take hose and do that but wanted to make sure before I made a mess, like I usually do. :smiley2: Thanks again. Don't know what I'd do without you nice helpful people on this board. Have a great night.big hugs for the help
