CandleCouture
How does everyone go about storing container candles that you have poured, that don't have lids? Is there a fear of evaporation of scent?
Firehouse
My sister wanted some small samples to take to her work. I used votive cups from wal-mart and covered them with saran wrap. Seems to work ok. But I have not kept them more than a few days.
Kaybee23
Maybe this will help a bit.http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20062&highlight=lids
CandleCouture
Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through, though. Do you think that NOT covering them might lead to evaporation? My brain tells me no, as only liquids evaporate and technically, at room temperatures, these are solid substances (wax and fo mixed), so they probably wouldn't evaporate, however, I wanted to get everyone else's thoughts. I may end up covering them, however, depending on what everyone thinks.
AngelaVA
The scent binds with the wax. It will not evaporate. But if you want to cover to keep out the dust, use glad press n seal.

Hillary
Not too long ago someone asked a similar question regarding no lids~one response was to just store the jars upside down. Seems too easy though, LOL. I don't see why that wouldn't work. They're set up, and they'd stay dust free.
girlyracer
Doh! Why is it we never think of the easiest and simplest solution. I'll have to remember that for when I start making container candles in tumblers.Ruby
mammapajama
I use cello bags like some others here. They are the easiest solution. Just be sure to repackage every so often, after traveling for a few shows they can look a bit worn, and customers like them fresh and crisp. Cheapest I have found are at the local dollar stores in the party supply area (30 for $1.00)
