KristinesShower
They can't - I think the patent is pending or something.Plus I think they are a fad and as soon as houses start burning to the ground, they will all be outlawed anyway.I am guilty - I bought one, but can't take my eyes off of it for a minute because I am afraid the wood will pop off and hit my couch or carpet or something. Margaritamama
Just found this old post..Ok.. where does one get the wood wicks from?? I have searched and searched.. and about ready to eat some popsicles. (but its' cold here).. LOLI don't think you can buy them......I tried some thin walnut planking that my husband uses to build his model ships. Seemed to work okay, but it did smoke a fair bit. I never got round to finishing the testing - wood wicks are not something I see in my future candlemaking. I was also going to try some other planking, ie oak, balsa and mahogany(too expensive). If you were inclined to try, I would suggest your local hobby shop, and ask for wood planking.Let us know if you try, and take pics of your tests.
