ladysj
I am needing ice cube embeds for my gel wax glasses. Is there anyway that I can make my own? Would a regular wax work for this? I have some 160wax.
Laura
spray an ice cube tray with pam, then pour gel wax in. when cool, kinda slip your finger down the inside and pop out. or for crushed ice, just thear the wax
Guest EMercier
I had this same problem. The ladies at candles and supplies gave me two options. They told me to use the HP gel, then wither put it in a shallow cookie sheet and cut it after it has hardened. Also, you can do the ice try and just pop it out (with the pam). I normally use LP gel for my Appltini's and the HP (they say) will withstand pouring another gel over it. I've not tried it yet, but I have some HP and need to stop being lazy. sassy-girl
I am needing ice cube embeds for my gel wax glasses. Is there anyway that I can make my own? Would a regular wax work for this? I have some 160wax.I mix 50/50 156 parrafin and hd gel wax. pour into a container and let cool. Use a pair of kitchen sissors and cut into pieces, you will be able to get different angles and such that will give the look of real ice cubes. I have also used the gel straight from the box, just cutting it at different rough angles.. depends on the look you are going for.
