Grumpy Girl Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 I've been using the water based and quite honestly I don't like it. I'm planning on trying the other type eventually, but for now I'd rather just use a recipe that gives me a nice white bar naturally without having to mess it up with trying to get the TD incorporated. maryann Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 WSP does carry the water dispersible type. Its preference whether you want to mix the TD w/ the lye/water or the oils. I choose the oil type or more so it choose me (I got a sample of it in w/ BB's sample packet). I put it in w/ the oils while they are still warm and SB it, I found it to be easy so that's what I'm sticking w/. I have read that people have had problems getting it to totally mix and having clumps in their finished product. I'm not sure how easy the powder is to mix with the lye mixture, but I figure its one less time I have to monkey w/ the lye and chance splashing or spilling it! OH BTW whether you get the water dispersible or the oil dispersible type they are both powders.From what I understand TD is natural, am I wrong?
